Treatment Family Program

The Bannock Youth Foundation Treatment Family Program was established in 1990 to provide therapeutic  foster homes to youth who are challenged by severe emotional and behavioral problems.  The program licenses foster homes for youth ages 6 -18 through a contract with the Department of Health & Welfare Children & Family Service in Region VI exclusively.  The Program only places one Treatment Child, per home, at a time;  to focus on their treatment goals as a team.

Treatment Family Program

Treatment Families with experience are preferred but not a necessity.  Treatment Parents may be working couples, single parents, or have a stay-at-home parent.  The single most important thing is that the Treatment Parents have a sincere interest in kids and the desire to help them create a better future.  Parents  must be patient, flexible, willing to laugh, eager to learn, and do not easily give up.  One parent must be able to be available in case of emergency.

Services offered to the Treatment Parents by Bannock Youth Foundation include; weekly  in-home staff visits to assist you with your foster child’s specific needs, assistance with transportation to appointments other activities the child may have, on-call crisis services, pre-service and ongoing training as needed, coverage for your child’s medical and clothing expenses, and a generous tax-free reimbursement of $28.00/day.
